Reward Being Offered After Murder Of North Carolina Boy
It’s been nearly a month since a 12-year-old boy in Asheville tragically lost his life after being shot.
According to CBS 17, Derrick Lee Jr. was shot and killed on July 1.
At the time of the shooting, Lee was with an older teen at a party.
For unknown reasons, a shooting broke out, and Lee and the teen were shot.
When authorities found the teens, they were transported to a nearby hospital.
Shortly thereafter, Lee succumbed to his injuries.
With very few leads in the case, police are now offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads them to the suspect(s.)
