Margot Robbie Is Officially Playing Sharon Tate In Tarantino’s New Flick
Margot Robbie announced that she will be playing Sharon Tate in ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood,’ Quentin Tarantino‘s newest movie in production.
The film will also star Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, and will be about the murders from Charles Manson‘s followers in 1969.
Roman Polanski, and the Pregnant Sharon Tate were murdered brutally in their Cielo Drive home, so this is going to be a dark film.
Margot Robbie told IndieWire that she’s been a huge fan of Tarantino’s for quite some time, and that he is “one of my bucket-list directors.” She also noted that she feels “a responsibility with every character I play, whether they’re fictional or real life… To play her right, play her truthfully, and kind of understand her emotional journey.”
Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio will be playing a star and his stunt double for a TV Western, the character of Rick Dalton, who is Tate’s next-door neighbor. Considering that Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio don’t really look alike at all, this should be kind of hilarious.
It’s good because ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ is rumored to be Tarantino’s last movie, so that “bucket list item” of working with Quentin may be the perfect timing for Robbie. The film is slated to be released August 9, 2019.
