Pregnant Teen Found Deceased Inside Vehicle In North Carolina
Police in North Carolina made a heartbreaking discovery on Sunday evening.
The body of 18-year-old Aiyonna Clarice Barrett was found inside a vehicle in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
Barrett was pregnant at the time her body was found.
Details regarding her death are limited at this time, however, police have revealed the vehicle Barrett was in was found in a wooded area.
According to ABC 11, authorities are investigating but don’t consider Barrett’s death to be a random act of violence, rather they believe she was targeted.
It’s not clear at this time if her pregnancy played a role in her being targeted.
Her cause of death is not known at this time, but the medical examiner will perform an autopsy in the hopes of offering more details into her death.
