During the Harper's Bazaar interview with Katherine, Selena revealed "I don't really set goals because I don't want to be disappointed if I don't reach them, but I do want to work on my music, too. My next album has been forever in the making."
She added, "I mean, point-blank, I don't feel confident enough in where my music is yet. If that takes 10 years, then it takes 10 years. I don't care. Right now, I just want to be super intentional with all of the things I'm doing."
She is taking time to produce an album she can be proud of, no matter how long it takes. She did mention in 2017 that she'd be releasing an album this year, so I assume 10 years is a bit of an exaggeration.
Either way, I'm willing to wait however long it takes for Selena's new album because I know it will be AMAZING!
