A wine tasting will kick off the North Carolina Strawberry Festival in Chadbourn on April 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Brown Street Station. Guests can enjoy live music, food boards, and bid on auction items.

Admission costs $30 per person. That includes wine tasting, gourmet grazing board, and live entertainment. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, and attendees may buy more wine as the night goes on.

Chris Nash will perform during the event. The silent auction features a weekend beach trip among other prizes.

Each year, the festival honors southeastern North Carolina's strawberry growers. This wine social serves as the opening act before the main celebration begins, showcasing farms, local traditions, and what makes Chadbourn unique.

Organizers hope to draw visitors while helping Chadbourn's shops and craftspeople thrive. They say the tasting builds anticipation for what's coming next.

Brown Street Station sits at 202 N. Brown Street in Chadbourn. Tickets are sold through the festival's website at www.ncstrawberryfestival.com.
