Pinehurst to Host Free Event Honoring Military Children on April 25
Pinehurst is hosting a free community event to celebrate the month of the military child.

Getty ImagesThe Village of Pinehurst and the Kiwanis Club of the Sandhills will host the 16th annual Celebration of the Military Child on Saturday, April 25, according to the Sandhills Sentinel. Free for everyone, this event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cannon Park Recreation Center.
Families can grab food at the cookout, play games, and enjoy activities. This is a free event for the community. Performances happen throughout the afternoon, and an opening ceremony kicks off at 11 a.m.
This celebration honors kids whose parents serve in the armed forces. April is the Month of the Military Child. Anyone wanting to recognize these families can come.
Cannon Park Recreation Center sits at 210 Rattlesnake Trail in Pinehurst. The event brings local residents together to show support for children of service members. Activities will be offered for kids of all ages.
