The legendary rock band Chicago is headed to Fayetteville next spring. The multi-Grammy-winning group — and 2016 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees — announced they will perform at the Crown Theatre on May 21, 2026, marking another stop in a touring career that has remarkably never taken a year off.

Tickets for the show go on sale November 14 at 10 a.m. Fans will be able to purchase seats at the Crown Box Office, the Fort Bragg Leisure Travel Office, or online via Ticketmaster. A full list of Chicago’s tour dates can be found at ChicagoTheBand.com.

The upcoming Fayetteville performance arrives as Chicago continues celebrating a staggering list of milestones spanning nearly six decades. The band, often praised as one of the most influential acts in rock history, remains the highest-charting American band in Billboard’s “Top 125 Artists of All Time.” They are also the first American rock band to earn Top 40 albums across six consecutive decades, cementing their longevity in music history.

Chicago’s legacy continues to be recognized at the highest levels. Their debut album Chicago Transit Authority was added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress in 2025, honoring recordings deemed “audio treasures worthy of preservation for all time.” The band has also earned the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award, and their seminal first album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2014.

More recently, Chicago has kept fans engaged with new and archival releases. In 2025, the group marked the 50th anniversary of their chart-topping compilation with Chicago IX: Greatest Hits Expanded. Their 2024 release, Chicago at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Washington, D.C. (9/16/1971), showcased a two-hour live performance featuring classic early lineup members including Robert Lamm, Terry Kath, Peter Cetera, and others.

The band also shared an intimate look at their pandemic experience through the 2022 documentary The Last Band on Stage. “We’re excited to be bringing The Last Band on Stage to audiences worldwide,” said Gravitas Ventures’ acquisition coordinator, Mackenzie Maguire. “This funny and informative documentary offers an inside look at how the legendary band Chicago were able to produce content even during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
