The Roeson Regional Agricultural Fair in Lumberton canceled its planned Friday opening because of weather, but the fair will begin Saturday.

The fair opens at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 28 and runs through Saturday, October 5 at the Robeson Regional Agricultural Fairgrounds located at 3750 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive in Lumberton, North Carolina.

Friday night was supposed to be Car Load Night, but that has been moved to the second Friday. Up to 8 persons get into the fair and unlimited rides until closing for only $90. Please know that 15-passenger vans, buses and mini-buses do not qualify.

For thrill-seekers, Big Rock Amusements has you covered with over 45 of their most exciting rides like The Air Flyer, The Cobra Coaster, The Giant Wheel, The Himalaya, The Zipper and Zero Gravity.

Fairgoers will really enjoy the many daily shows like MythiCreatures trolling the Midway, The High Flying Pages Circus of Thrills and featuring The Globe of Death, Lew-E's Comedy Circus, Agri-Golf making education a hole in one and one of the all-time Robeson County Fair favorites, the Petting Zoo.

Hours for the fair are as follows:

  • Monday - Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
  • Saturday - 11:00 a.m. until 12am
  • Sunday - 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

Sunday, September 29th is First Responders and Military Day. Be sure to take your current ID and get in FREE.

Sunday, September 29th is also Church Bulletin Day. With your current church bulletin, you will enjoy FREE admission and FREE rides from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Wednesday, October 2nd is College Night. Just present your current college I.D. between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. for FREE admission.

October 2nd is Senior Citizens Day at the fair. For those 62 and over, admission is FREE. Gates open at 11:00 a.m. Then from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m., enjoy food, prizes, entertainment and much more.

Thursday, October 3rd is Canned Goods Night. Donate (10) canned goods in date for FREE admission from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. All canned goods will be donated to the Robeson County Church and Community Center.

On Thursday, October 3rd, root on the competitors in the Donut Eating Contest beginning at 6:30pm.

And of course the Robeson Regional Agricultural Fair has all your favorite fair foods like Funnel Cakes, Collard Sandwiches, Turkey Legs, Candy Apples, Bloomin' Onions and many many more.
