Blue Star Families Hosting Comedian Ashley Gutermuth For Fayetteville Event Saturday
“My Dad was in the Army, but he got out pretty much as I was born. But he never gave up that life style, you know, he would still wear his uniform, always hoarded food. We were always ready for a war.”
-Comedian Ashley Gutermuth
Blue Star Families, a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting military families, and T-Mobile proudly announce a heartwarming tribute to military families with a special comedy event at Cape Fear Botanical Garden in honor of Blue Star Welcome Week. On September 28th, the two organizations will host 200 military families for an evening of laughter featuring renowned comedy sensation and Air Force spouse Ashley Gutermuth.
Ashley gained acclaim after winning the ‘Seinfeld Challenge‘ on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, chosen by Jerry Seinfeld himself. With over 300 million views on social media, her stand-up routines and insights into life as a military spouse have captivated global audiences. Named Air Force Spouse of the Year, Ashley tirelessly advocates for increased support for the military community.
Through her comedy and advocacy work, Gutermuth continues to uplift the military community while tackling serious issues with humor and compassion. I was so excited (totally fangirling, TBH) to chat with Ashley about her comedy career and how it intersects with military life.
