Robeson County Schools Closing Early, Several Others Go Remote, as Heavy Rain Hits
Public Schools of Robeson County will close early Monday, as heavy rains from a sub-tropical system are hitting Southeastern North Carolina.
The National Weather Service out of Wilmington said that Tropical Cyclone Eight didn’t get quite strong enough to become a Tropical Storm, but the impacts in our region will feel like it.
The rain led Public Schools of Robeson County to close schools at noon on Monday, and cancelled all afterschool care and activities.
Bladen and Columbus County schools both went with remote learning Monday.
Rain will continue throughout the day and could cause flood impacts across the region.
We’ll update more as the day continues.
