Suffer From Bad Allergies? Avoid These 2 North and South Carolina Cities
Spring has arrived and that means things are starting to bloom, which can be beautiful … unless you suffer from bad allergies. Then this is the season of sneezing and itching, thanks to all the pollen. Of course, some places have it worse than others and a new report reveals which ones they are. Unfortunately a city in South Carolina is in the top 3 and a city in North Carolina made the top 10 “bad allergies city list.” Ugh. Those cities are Greenville South Carolina and Raleigh North Carolina. If you live here and suffer from bad allergies then make sure you load up on Claritin and Flonase!
So you’re probably wondering, who made this list and what was the yellow criteria!
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America has just come out with their yearly Allergy Capitals list. It ranks the 100 most populated metro areas in the country on factors related to seasonal allergies, including tree, grass and weed pollen counts, sales of allergy and sinus medication, and the number of board-certified allergists/immunologists. Based on their research, the worst city in the U.S. for seasonal allergy sufferers is Wichita, Kansas. On the flip side, Akron, Ohio is the best city in the country for avoiding allergies, thanks to its lower than average pollen score.
