Taylor Swift had the support of another major musical superstar at the world premiere of her Eras Tour concert film -- Beyoncé. Bey showed up at the Los Angeles premiere on Wednesday (October 11), posing with Swift, 33, on the red carpet. The "THIQUE" singer ever joined her inside The Grove's theater for a cute popcorn-assisted photo op. Shortly after, Swift took to Instagram to share the global musicians' moment. Posting a boomerang for her 274 million followers, Swift thanked her fellow artist for the impact she's had on the music industry.

"I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence," she captioned the post. "The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. [halo emoji, prayer hands emoji, holding back tears emoji]."

As we previously reported, the highly-anticipated concert film from director Sam Wrench is a nearly three-hour theatrical take on Swift’s blockbuster tour. The film is distributed by AMC Theatres and Cinemark. Last week, the theaters reported to have amassed over $100 million in pre-sale tickets worldwide. Later this year, Beyoncé is launching her own concert film celebrating her massively successful Renaissance Tour. "The goal for this tour was to create a place where everyone is free, and no one is judged," Beyoncé said in the film's recently released trailer. "Start over, start fresh. Create the new. That's what the Renaissance is about."

According to the official synopsis, “It is about Beyonce’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft. Received with extraordinary acclaim, Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans.”

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé opens on December 1. Tickets are now available. Swift's concert film premieres nationally on Friday, October 13.

The past two years saw the return of touring, and many acts have hit the road with a vengeance.  There have been amazing live performances, with some of the biggest artists returning to the road. Some tours were delayed due to COVID-19, while some musicians happened to take a long hiatus from performing altogether. Whatever the reason, in 2023, musicians across all genres of music announced world tours and stadium tours.

Pop legends like Madonna and Janet Jackson are touring on a global scale, as are younger artists like Harry Styles and Morgan Wallen. Popularity with K-pop and Latin artists has brought musicians from both genres to have successful tours in 2023. Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Pink and the Cure have all been on the road this year as well.

There is, of course, massive hype around Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. Her shows last three-and-a-half hours as she covers all aspects of her career, from country to pop to indie. With her two “surprise songs” each night, fans are always eager to find out what songs she’ll choose for that segment. On top of that, her timing is impeccable for fans “itching for a post-pandemic live music immersive experience.” Another factor is how much Swifties appreciate Taylor’s dedication to her craft: writing all her songs and reclaiming ownership of all of her music by re-recording her discography. Fans have also been buying and streaming the new versions of her old songs and the bonus tracks on her re-recorded versions of her albums.
