Salma Hayek’s Youthful Skin Secret: ‘No Botox’
Salma Hayek is revealing the secret to her youthful skin — and it’s not with the help of the common Botox injections. While appearing on Kelly Ripa’s podcast yesterday (July 19), the Magic Mike’s Last Dance star was asked bluntly: “Have you ever used Botox?” Hayek, 56, replied: “No Botox!”
Ripa, 52, was stunned and told the Oscar-nominated actress that she was “amazing.” Hayek, who has been married to French billionaire François-Henri Pinault since 2009, claimed she knows what the answer is. “Because of a lot of things in my body and health issues,” Hayek explained. “Somehow, I developed this strange meditation that I keep evolving. I can do it for hours because I don’t feel the time, and it’s so much fun.” The Frida star says she feels energy. She adds that “It moves and it dances inside of you, different feelings and sensations. So I do a lot of the frequency machines.”

Though this method wouldn’t seem like a cure for aging for most, the Mexican-American actress insists that it gives her visible results. She even says when she comes out of the room after a session, people will tell her things like, “‘Oh my god. Again, you look 20.'” However, if she doesn’t do this form of meditation on a regular basis, Hayek says her face and “everything starts to drop.” Hayek’s husband doesn’t believe in it, however. Pinault does notice when she looks different but will call it yoga instead.
Salma’s Beauty Hacks
This isn’t the first time the gorgeous actress has shared beauty advice. As we previously reported last month, while appearing on Good Morning America, she shared a beauty hack for those who are lazy about keeping up with those pesky gray hairs. When asked about an Instagram post she shared the week prior, Salma joked about “waking up and counting how many white hairs and wrinkles have crashed the party this morning.” She told the GMA hosts, “You don’t see the white hair right now because I put mascara [on] because I’m too lazy to dye my hair.” Hayek then told the audience how she applies mascara to her lashes and the hairs surrounding her face.
While Hayek may have never done Botox, Ripa isn’t afraid of using it. She recently told People that it is both “good for your neck” and “stops your neck from aging.” She also said it “helps with sweating” and has gotten Botox injections in her armpits. Like any other professional service, Ripa said the biggest key is to “get a good person to do it.”
