Britney Spears’ Loved Ones Planned Intervention ‘Afraid She’s Gonna Die’
Britney Spears’ friends and family have been concerned about her, going as far as planning an intervention for her this past Tuesday (February 7). Per gossip website TMZ, Spears has been struggling with her mental health and substance abuse. As one source in regular contact with Britney told the publication, “I’m afraid she’s gonna die.”
Apparently, those who are around the “Hold Me Closer” singer have become alarmed by her “erratic, volatile behavior,” multiple sources say. She has allegedly been taking meds that “hype her up” instead of the medications that stabilize her. This has all caused her to be “flying off the handle” with increasing regularity.
Britney’s manager rented a house in the Los Angeles area for several months as part of a plan to take an unsuspecting Britney to the house, where her husband Sam Asghari, an interventionist and doctors would be present. Her younger sister Jamie Spears and Britney’s sons Jayden and Sean were not involved.
The plan was for Britney to live in the rented house for as long as two months while she received both medical treatment and psychological counseling. However, that plan changed on Tuesday when Britney became “somewhat aware” of the plan. That apparently led it to be changed completely and the intervention idea was canceled. When asked by those close to Spears and Asghari as to why the plan would be canceled, the gossip site received no answers.
Instead, Britney agreed to meet with a doctor late Wednesday afternoon and it “went well.”
On social media this week, Britney posted a video of herself dancing and posing with Drake’s “Nonstop” playing. She captioned the post: “Holy s— !!! Mistake s— !!! I posted the wrong video of me singing yesterday and once I did, I tried to play it off with the caption !!! Embrace the fall !!! Yep and try to play it off … yep that’s me !!!! I was in the studio messing around and I accidentally posted that version !!! Mortified, completely mortified !!! Anyway … this is me last night in my new gold dress !!! Think I need to salsa in this dress !!!”
She posted another video with the same song but a different outfit that same day. This time, with no caption.
