It has not yet been announced whether Rudd will appear in the series as a regular, recurring or guest. However, co-creator John Hoffman said that Paul Rudd's character is someone viewers will want to know about in the next season. Rudd's role in the mystery-comedy series reunites him with Selena Gomez. The two starred together in 2016's The Fundamentals of Caring.
As we previously reported, season two follows the shocking death of Arconia Board President Bunny Folger (Jayne Houdyshell). Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) race to unmask her killer. However, three unfortunate complications ensue – the trio is publicly implicated in Bunny’s homicide; they are now the subjects of a competing podcast, and they have to deal with a bunch of New York neighbors who all think they committed murder. Season 3 was greenlit in July.
Rudd can be seen next in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, slated to release on February 17, 2023 as the first film of Phase Five of the MCU. Other Phase Five movies coming in 2023-2024 include Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The Marvels starring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, and Iman Vellani, Blade starring Mahershala Ali, Captain America: New World Order starring Anthony Mackie, and the Thunderbolts; an unannounced film is also set for release in February 2024. The Marvel film will be the third of the Ant-Man series following 2015's Ant-Man and 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp.
Director Peyton Reed posted a photo to Twitter earlier this month of a door to the "Quantum Realm."

Season two of Only Murders in the Building is currently streaming on Hulu, with new episodes dropping every Tuesday.
For those who haven't watched the first season, the 10-episode comedy murder-mystery series stars Selena Gomez, Martin Short and Steve Martin as strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the fledgling interior designer Mabel Mora (Gomez), struggling theater producer Oliver Putnam (Short) and former ‘80s TV star Charles Haden-Savage (Martin), team up to record a podcast of their own to document the case, unraveling the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.

Best Comedy Trio

"OliMabel" here, and the "Charles" is silent.
Detective Williams and Detective Kreps

Much like Williams, Kreps is no-nonsense, and very much like Williams, he seems to get caught up in the groups’ investigation more than conducting his own.
Detectives vs. Oliver

How is Oliver going to navigate these two no-nonsense detectives?
