Ice Cube has taken a stance against racial inequality. The 51-year-old rapper and filmmaker has been vocal on social media lately regarding racism, and this week, he shared a "Contract With Black America" to address racial inequality.

"I’m seeing a lot of Police Reform talk and community outreach initiatives. But to really start to fix the sins of the past the U.S. needs A CONTRACT WITH BLACK AMERICA," Ice Cube tweeted. "Top to bottom change. I’ve created a document that I will release tomorrow that will start the conversation."
“I will release a document called, A CONTRACT WITH BLACK AMERICA at 10:30 AM EST," Ice Cube tweeted on Wednesday (July 1). "Making some minor adjustments. Stand by."
"This Contract With Black America was designed to start the hard conversations," Ice Cube later tweeted with his "Contract With Black America" attached. "It was made to be perfected and debated. Add comments and suggestions so we can create a better contract with America that will help create a better and more perfect Union."

“After 400 years of unequal treatment, Black Americans have had enough with 'gradual' reform in a nation that prides itself as the world’s greatest democracy. While well-intentioned solutions may have been tried, it is simply too much to ask an oppressed people to stay 'patient.' To finally create the more 'perfect union' all Americans deserve, it is time for a complete paradigm shift in how we run our institutions and operate our country," the document reads.

"While this contract with Black America may seem radical to some, the result will be a harmonious society that benefits EVERYONE rather than the more radical alternative which is watching the great America experiment come apart at the seams."

The contract then goes on to cover the issues of education, reparations, affirmative action, Black representation in government, and voting. It calls for more polling sites in minority and Black neighborhoods as well as mandatory civil rights and anti-racism classes in all elementary schools. You can read the entire document here.
