United Way of CC Launches COVID-19 Relief Fund, Seeking Additional Partners
The United Way of Cumberland County has announced that it is setting up a COVID-19 Relief Fund to help members of the community impacted by the coronavirus meet their basic needs.
In a release, the United Way said it has authorized $15,000 to help launch the fund, and they are looking for additional partners who can donate to increase it.
According to the FAQ on the website, the funds will be released to community organizations that will be helping families in need.

United Way of Cumberland (UWCC) has set up a COVID-19 Relief Fund. This fund will provide assistance and resources to those affected by the current public health emergency. As our community faces the results of schools and workplaces closing, many residents will experience unprecedented financial hardships.
Funds collected will help local families and individuals impacted by this virus to help meet their basic needs. UWCC will coordinate with local nonprofits to determine ongoing needs and fund distribution. $15,000 has been approved by the UWCC Board of Directors to launch the fund.
To donate to the relief fund, visit www.unitedway-cc.org, text United to 855-735-2437 or mail a check to the United Way office at 222 Maiden Lane, Fayetteville, NC 28301 with COVID-19 written on the memo line. 100% of these funds will stay in Cumberland County to help your friends and neighbors. We encourage all residents to give what they can. Every gift, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

UWCC is proud to provide funding and support to bring NC 2-1-1 to Cumberland County in partnership with the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County Government and Fayetteville PWC.
