Taylor Swift’s ‘Lover’ Medley At The 2019 MTV VMAs Was A Rainbow Sing-Along
It’s safe to say fans couldn’t calm down the minute Taylor Swift took the stage at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. Swift kicked off the show with a rainbow-drenched medley of “You Need To Calm Down” and “Lover.”
Inspired by her video for “You Need To Calm Down,” Swift went to the prettiest trailer park. There she was joined by her neon-wearing friends like Todrick Hall that let everyone know no one can step on her gown. And not just because she wasn’t wearing one.
Fans then joined in for the title track, which had Swift grabbing the acoustic guitar and a blazer for the ballad. The track got her BFF Camila Cabello swaying along. Queen Latifah was even getting into Swift’s latest jam.
The first few minutes of the VMAs turned into a Taylor Swift concert and that’s never a bad thing.
