Is Jamie Lynn Spears Going to be in a Zoey 101 Reboot?
Rumor has it that Zoey 101 could be returning to television very, very soon.
TMZ reports that Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney Spears’ sister, is in talks to reprise her famous role on the Nickelodeon show. Although nothing is currently set in stone, the outlet is saying that Spears has been talking with execs in the hopes of getting the next big reboot going. Nickelodeon has already brought back Blues Clues and All That.
According to TMZ, if the show does get a reboot, it will be vastly different and edgier. “The show would follow Zoey’s life in SoCal ten years later at the age of 28 — only this time, she’d have a couple of kids in the mix. [It’s] Unclear if she’d have a partner or not, or if she’s still involved with her character’s longtime love interest, Chase.”
There is no word yet on if Austin Butler, the actor who played James, will also return to the show.
It was also just announced that Jamie Lynn Spears would be a series regular on the upcoming Netflix show Sweet Magnolias. The actress made the official announcement about the role on her Twitter page.
