Cardi B Wins Best Rap Album At The 2019 Grammys
Okurrrrrr! Rapper Cardi B won her first Grammy for Best Rap Album for her debut LP, Invasion Of Privacy.
In a long white dress with white fringe gloves, alongside her husband, Offset the Bronx artist accepted her award.
“When I found out I was pregnant my album was not complete,” a tearful Cardi B said.
The “I Like It Like That” rapper said that she had about three songs that were complete, and her and her team wanted to focus on shooting her videos before she started to show her pregnancy.
“I wanna thank all the artists that took their time with their verses for my album,” the mother and rapper said.
J Balvin and her husband’s group, Migos were among those who the artist thanked.
She also thanked her daughter, Kulture, who she noted that she didn’t just thank her because she was her daughter.
She also specifically thanked Offset.
“You husband, thank you,” she said as laughter ensued. “No seriously because he was like,’ you gone make this album girl.'”
“Thank you so much everybody,” she concluded before freezing in awe.
