Earlier today, we reported Prince William and Kate Middleton had welcomed royal baby number three to the world.

Apart from Princess Charlotte becoming a big sister, the birth of her baby brother also means Princess Charlotte has just made history.

According to The Daily Mirror, a royal law passed a few years ago prevents Princess Charlotte from losing her place in line for the throne.

Previously, if a male was born, the male would have precedence over the female member of the royal family.

The law, named the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, means that the new royal baby will be behind Princess Charlotte in terms of the succession to the Crown.

Sky News is also reporting that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have just arrived at the hospital where their mother gave birth to meet their new baby brother.
