Demi Lovato Will Provide Free Therapy For Fans On 2018 Tour
Demi Lovato announced that her 2018 Tell Me You Love Me tour will include free therapy for fans.
Each show will start out with inspirational speeches, group therapy, and wellness workshops to promote conversation about mental health.
Demi announced the initiative on Good Morning America Wednesday (January 24).
She explained that it’ll basically be like a big therapy session for everyone before the concert. There’s going to be speakers coming in from all over the place, and they’ll also be working with different charities from around the United States.
“I make it my life goal to inspire other people,” she shared on GMA. “I think that it’s important for me to use my voice for more than just singing. I just know how important it is to use my platform to help others and to share my story in hopes that it inspires people to either get into recovery or better themselves. Whatever it is, I just want people to know they’re not alone and I’m here for them.”
Demi is really trying to work towards getting rid of the stigma of mental illness. “I actually have bipolar disorder and I’m very open about that because I think that mental health affects so many people and we need to take the stigma away from it,” she added.
The Tell Me You Love Me tour kicks off February 26 in San Diego.
